MUA probase prime and concealer powder

So I really like this powder and it's only £4 from MUA, at first I was a bit apprehensive given the colours, but they come off really sheer with barely a tint of colour and basically it's just a beautiful baked powder and it sets my makeup, but it doesn't give the wear of my bourjois powder, but it's such a great price that I can compromise on the wear time a little.

MUA powder brow shape and highlight

Today I was browsing round super drug *a dangerous place to be* and I was drawn to the MUA counter as there were a few new products that I wanted to try out, and one of them was this brow product. 

Starting on the brow side, it's a good match for my eyebrows and the product is good and waxy, I've worn it for 6 hours and although the product faded slightly there were no other problems with it and the waxy-ness of the product worked well to keep my other eyebrow hairs in place. The only negative I have about this product is that it's a very dark brown and I tend to wear this product on a night out or if I want dramatic makeup, if I'd found a lighter shade I'd have gone for that. 

The highlight is nice and creamy and although it's a bit shimmery I've used it on the high points of my face and blended it under my foundation. I'd say that I love the highlight part of this product more than the brow product. It's also quite similar watched next to benefits Watt's Up! highlighter, which might interest some people.

MUA Skin Define Hydro primer

So I was having problems with dry patches particularly around my nose, and despite using a moisturiser I also wanted to explore the idea of a moisturising primer and this one is really nice and only £3! It's a jelly like consistency and makes your skin feel really moisturised while applying it. 

The draw backs of this product for me are probably the unhygienic packaging of constantly having to dip your finger into the product and also it's smell is a bit strange, I want to say it's chemically, but it's not quite that! So I'm not sure how to describe it. An additional side note is that it's quite bulky the packaging and not very travel friendly, but you could just decant some of the product if this was an issue. Overall I really love the water like feel of the product and also the jelly like consistency is novel.

Cool and Grey

Hello,

So today's look is a little darker than I'd normally go but I felt like I wanted to go for a different look.

So using the MUA hall of fame palette I placed Hydra on the inner corner of my eye, then cool grey on the middle of my lid, and Titan on the outer corner and in the crease. I used Shy as a highlight.

Then I used the collection felt tip eyeliner in black to created the winged liner!

Weekly Picks #11

Hello,

So todays weekly picks are more centred on my face product and I suppose looking at it, it's more reminiscent of a spring time look?!??! Oh well!

I've been loving a flawless base and so my Soap and Glory concealer is a must, it's awesome and really allows me to cover any spots that might have appeared. Then I've been loving contour, highlight and a peachy natural blush. So I've been using the Bourjois Duo and the MUA blush in Lolly on my cheeks, both are amazing quality, apart form Lolly smashing as I was taking the photo!

Finally my nude glossy lip has been the Rimmel colour rush in drive me nude it's an awesome colour you need to try it out!

MUA blusher in Lolly

Hello,

So I really wanted a peach coloured blush and I saw this one from MUA which you can purchase in super drug, it's in the colour Lolly and costs £1 for 2.4g which was particually a great deal. I would also like to try some more colours because it's a great finely milled powder an blends easily across the cheeks. Basically I think it's better than some more exprensinve blushes I'd triesd.

Aditionally I'd like to talk about how much I love the packaging, so thin and compact making it easy to store. And the fact that you can see the product is another great perk of the packaging. Overall I love the product and I really think you should check out MUA because they have some really good products.

MUA lipstick in Nectar

Hello,

So this is an awesome lipstick, it's so creamy compared to most and it's such a summery orange colour, which I wear in the autumn any way. Never mind. The packaging is great and you get a little gloss in the coloured bit at the bottom which is handy. The lipstick is also very opaque and has a great finish, not matte, not shiny somewhere in-between. 

Overall I love this and I'm definitely going to buy some more in the future because they're so cheap and I love lipsticks!

Weekly Picks #10

So this weeks look has been on that I've found quick and easy, using the lighter colours for the MUA hall of fame palette over my lid, lashing of the bourjois one second waterproof mascara to make me look more awake.

Then Dream phone blush by topshop on my cheeks to pull in some berry tones to my look. Finally Topshop Armour lipsticks which has an awesome metallic finish!

To get into the christmas spirit I have a glittery eye look today!

Using MUA's Hall of fame eyeshadow palette I did a mixture of Hustle and Tectonite on my eyelid the I blended Titan into the crease and used Bare to highlight!

Then I lined all round my eye using the Collection Glam crystals liner in Glitz, and I lined my tight and water line using the Rimmel scandal eyes eyeliner in Black.

Weekly picks #5

Hello,

So this week I've been loving darker lip colours, but not really dark, sort of those in-between shades!

Revlon Matte balm in sultry- I love this colour and particularly the fact that it's matte, I love that look for winter, but equally it's not super dry on the lips so it feels comfortable!

Rimmel Kate 107 - This is another matte lip product (are you sensing a theme?!?!) I love the subtle berry vampy look it gives, it's perfect for autumn/winter!

MUA hall of fame palette - I love this palette, it's got so many great shades in it and I can't get over how much I've been using it, the qualities great and for £4 you can't go wrong!

So here's a palette that I've been looking out for, for a while now and at £4 it's a steal! The pigmentation is good and the eyeshadows are buttery soft. They're great on me so long as I have a good primer!

The concept of this palette is that this is MUA's most popular eyeshadow's and they're all in one palette! Which is awesome, it's a great palette and you can go for a dark smokey eye, or a lighter more neutral everyday eyeshadow look! Perfect!
