Halloween: Fawn

Today's halloween makeup look is a fawn look, it's very quick and easy to achieve, first I applied foundation and concealer as you normally would, then I used a cream brother in the hollows of my cheeks, temples, chin, and either side of my nose. Then I went over it with powder and blended it out slightly and added more until it was as dark as I wanted it to be.

Then I used a bronze blusher and some highlighter down the bridge of my nose and on the high points of my cheeks. Using warm eyeshadows around my eyes and blended it out, then I also blended eyeshadow down from my nose to lips. Using a black liner I drew a nose on the end of mine and then lined my eyes using a liquid liner. Using the Gerard cosmetics boss lady hydra matte liquid lipstick on my lips. And finally used a white cream shadow to create to speckles on my cheeks.

Rimmel & Maybelline haul

Today I was wondering around Boots and noticed that there were several new products out that I wanted to try, particularly the fresher skin foundation which I was really impressed with! It's a really light foundation and I love it for everyday wear. When I don't want my skin really perfected, as I fell like the consistency is thicker than a normal tinted moisturiser and it's great when set with a powder. And feels weightless on the skin. But for me and my oily skin it's definitely not a long wearing foundation and I can usually stretch it's use to about 5 hours with powder and a setting spray, but that's not a problem if your skins normal or dry.

Next the cream blush I wanted to try out as I love my coral pink and I really like the other powder blushes from Rimmel and they're really nice and I would recommend them forever. And their cream blushers didn't disappoint! It's really nice and bendable and I like it for more muted makeup days which was nice.

Then I also picked up the Maybelline master strolling stick, now I've tried several of these stick highlighters and they were dry, particularly the soap and glory one which was disappointing, but this one is really nice and blends well into my cheek bones and gives me a nice highlight so I'm loving it.

Maybelline New In...

As I was walking around super drug, I noticed that there was some new Maybelline products out and I decided I needed to try it out. The foundation sounded right up my street as I do have a few prominent pores on my face and I'm always up for a matte foundation and I love cream contour products so that was a no brainer to pop in my basket.

On first impressions I really like the foundation it's quite liquid in consistency and I would say it's best to apply with a damp sponge to get the most natural result. The contour stick is interesting in terms of being half contour half highlight. I got the lightest shade and I think they could have done with making the highlight side lighter for paler people but the contour side is really nice and I love the blend-ability of the product and ensuring that a natural contour is achieved.

Matte liquid lipstick smack down

Hello,

So far I was loving The Revlon HD liquid lipsticks for comfort and duration.
The sleek matte me lipsticks are difficult to apply but if you take extra time to apply it then it dries down quickly and ends up staying on for the longest out of all the liquid lipsticks.
Similarly with the Gerard cosmetics liquid lipsticks they last a long time.
The Bourjois and Rimmel liquid lipsticks are quite similar and have a reduced amount of wear time. Then the Maybelline vivd matte liquid lipsticks are good and but I prefer the Revlon or Sleek.

Maybelline the falsies push up drama mascara

Hello,

Today I have a review of the Maybelline the falsies push up drama mascara. Which I'm not sure whether it's just me but the wand looks extremely similar to the Benefit mascara which is nice and then I also like the formula isn't too dry but equally not wet which is good and it really separates my lashes and helps them to hold a curl which I like and I think that after a month or so it would be best as initially the formula was a little too wet for me as the wetness pulls down my lashes after I've used my lash curler to curl them.

Maybelline master drama nudes

So I saw that these were out on another blog and I have to say that I love them, they're metallic nude, taupe and bronze eyeliners. All are really creamy and extremely easy to run under the eyes, or can be easily blended all over the eye to create a base for eyeshadow. I've been using these so much I've already had to sharpen them. But they're really great eyeliners and I love the nude aspect of the collection. This collection is right up my street and I can't fault them.

Maybelline baby lips & cheeks

Hello,

Today I saw that there was a new product and I wanted to give it a go, personally I use this as a lip balm as I don't think it really works on my lips partially due to the pigmentation of the product but also it has quite a sticky consistency. So in that respect I think that you should give this product a miss and just pick up one of the normal baby lips lip balms if you want something tinted to moisturise your lips.

Maybeline review

Hello,

So today I picked up a repayment for my Maybelline eye eraser concealer which I love and is one of my holy grail under eye concealers!

Then I also picked up the setting spray, I have to admit I was a little annoyed with this to begin with but now I'm so pleased with it! Basically you just need to make sure that you really shake this well otherwise you'll end up with while dots all over your face if you don't mix the product properly! Just a heads up!

Maybelline Colour drama lip pencils

Hello,

Today I wanted to show you some more of the maybelline colour drama pencils that I picked up as I love them! They're matte, but still not too drying although I do recommend to moisturise your lips before hand and scrub off any dead skin! *Gross I know, but necessary* I already own red essential so I picked up a nude, pink and coral to virtually complete all the colours I'd ever need. They're all really beautiful and I find the application easy, I just wish that they were twist up because I hate sharpening them and it wastes some of the product but oh well!
