Maybelline New In...

As I was walking around super drug, I noticed that there was some new Maybelline products out and I decided I needed to try it out. The foundation sounded right up my street as I do have a few prominent pores on my face and I'm always up for a matte foundation and I love cream contour products so that was a no brainer to pop in my basket. 

On first impressions I really like the foundation it's quite liquid in consistency and I would say it's best to apply with a damp sponge to get the most natural result. The contour stick is interesting in terms of being half contour half highlight. I got the lightest shade and I think they could have done with making the highlight side lighter for paler people but the contour side is really nice and I love the blend-ability of the product and ensuring that a natural contour is achieved.

Revlon colour stay foundation

Hello, 

Today I've been loving this foundation, it's perfect and really great to blend with my skin also think that it stays on my skin for a long time. I've purchased this previously when it didn't have a pump and I think it's a lot easier to use with the pump and a lot more hygienic. Then I think that Revlon has a pretty good shade range for a drugstore brand at least. So go and check it out plus if you have dry skin there's another colour stay foundation for that.

Foundation comparison

Today I wanted to look at my foundations...

No7 airbrush away foundation - I did love this foundation but now it doesn't see to sit on my skin very well which is annoying. But perhaps it might have gone off which is why the foundations is sitting strangely on my skin, but I won't be repurchasing it. 

L'Oreal infallible 24hr-matte foundation - I love this foundation and have repurchased it since. The foundation matches my skin tone better and remains matte all day which is perfect. and I think I'll continue to repurchase this foundation since then.

L'Oreal lumi magique foundation - I love this foundation, it's great that it has a pump and I also love the staying power of the foundation and then I also enjoyed the fact that it's not quite as matte as my other foundations and it matches my skin tone well.

Bourjois City radiance foundation - I love this foundation, it's perfect and I can't get over how nice it makes my skin look. Then I also like how easy it is to blend across the skin. A small point I also had the bourjois air matte foundation and this really doesn't match my skin tone, so I gave it to a friend.

Bourjois City radiance foundation

So I have to say that I love this foundation, it's really nice. The consistency is quite thick and as a result I would advise you to use a good moisturiser is your skin is dry. But gives a great natural glow to my skin and also it's great in regards to longevity and has stayed on my skin for 9 hours without going streaky, although that day I did you a powder and setting spray so that may have contributed, but I'm loving it.

L'Oreal Haul...

So today's post is of a haul that I bought back in December so I've had a lot of chance to try everything out and can offer a brief review of the product for you. 

L'Oreal Lumi magique foundation, I've been wearing this a lot and I think it's definitely up there with my favourite foundations, I think that L'Oreal is on point at the moment with all it's foundations.

L'Oreal lumiere eyeshadow 502, isn't this eyeshadow reminiscent of Mac satin taupe, at least I think it is! This eyeshadow is so pigmented and blends well it's gorgeous and perfect for a dramatic night out look or can be toned down for the day time.

Mega Volume mascara

Eyeshadow quad in Jungle Jade

Liquid eyeliner

Green nail polish

Bourjois Air Mat

Hello,

Today's review is of the newest bourjois foundation, it's a matte foundation. The formula is thick and is quite a heavy coverage which I like, it's also quite a creamy formula. The Foundations packaging is perfect, I like the nozzle and the squeeze packaging for control over how much product is released. I find that there is a need to work quickly with this product as it tends to dry quickly and this can leave an uneven finish to the foundation.

So I've reviewed both of these foundations, I've picked up a second of the L'Oreal foundation, which I would say I now keep for specific days that I know I want my foundation to really stay on for a long time. Then I wear the No7 foundation when I want a little lighter foundation.

Bourjois 123 perfect foundation

Hello,

I love this foundation! I have a few spots on my chin at the moment and this really helps me to cover up the redness in my skin and it stays in place really well on my oily skin for about 4 hours which is alright before I need to powder or blot and reapply some concealer normally. The pump is really useful and the colour is perfect for my skin which is great because I feel like my skin tone is really difficult to find a good foundation shade, but I suppose everyone has that problem to be honest!

Rimmel London Lasting finish 25 hour with comfort serum

So today's review is of a new found favourite foundation! I love the fact that this foundation stays all day on my oily skin! Plus the colour does match my skin which is a blessing. 

The only draw back is that you definitely know that there's something on your skin, despite the "comfort serum". But because I only wear this on special occasions I figured I could handle it.
