Makeup Obsession

Cosmo, Perfect, Pearl, Luxe, Rare, New York

The other day my boyfriend and I were coming back and we passed by meadowhall and decided to stop and have a look round, of course I wanted to have a look in boots and noticed they had some knew makeup which I wanted to pick up. Even more so when I switched the eyeshadows, they're really lovely and blend incredible, for £2 a piece I was very impressed! Then I picked up a palette to put them in for £6 so it can be a little pricey but I'm really loving them and they look great on the eyes, particularly the pinky-purple looks really great!

Makeup revolution iconic 1 palette

Hello,

So I'm sure you've noticed that this palette looks familiar it's a dupe of the Lorac pro palette, and I love it. Here in England we can't get Lorac easily so I was excited to try this palette out and I wasn't disappointed it's a really lovely well pigmented eyeshadow palette and there's a great payoff and staying power. The only draw back with the formula is that they're prone to fall out so definitely use the eyeshadow before foundation etc so you can clear any fall out away, or use a shadow shield. Then I like the simple black packaging and it's slightly rubberised too, with beautiful rose gold writing on it. However this could be a little difficult to find the palette you want if you own several of the revolution palette.

EOTD #38

Hello,

Today's look is a purple-pink smokey eye!

All you need is a hot pink eyeshadow which I blended up beyond the crease and then I blended a purpled over the lid and then blended a darker purple/blue over my lid. The key with this is to blend, blend, blend!

L'Oreal Haul...

Hello,

So today's post is of a haul that I bought back in December so I've had a lot of chance to try everything out and can offer a brief review of the product for you.

L'Oreal Lumi magique foundation, I've been wearing this a lot and I think it's definitely up there with my favourite foundations, I think that L'Oreal is on point at the moment with all it's foundations.

L'Oreal lumiere eyeshadow 502, isn't this eyeshadow reminiscent of Mac satin taupe, at least I think it is! This eyeshadow is so pigmented and blends well it's gorgeous and perfect for a dramatic night out look or can be toned down for the day time.

Then for the gift with purchase I got...
Mega Volume mascara
Eyeshadow quad in Jungle Jade
Liquid eyeliner
Green nail polish

Bourjois Colorband eyeshadow & liner - 05 Mauve baroque

Hello,

I love this eyeshadow, it's so beautiful and I really like the Mauve with my brown eyes I think it sets them off well. Well as well as muddy brown eyes can be set off! It's also got glitter in it, which I think reflects well in light, and is too much that you look like a glitter ball. I also prefer the format of cream eyeshadow in a pencil form, I would prefer this even more if it was twist up, but we can't always have what we want! I haven't yet used enough of it to warrant sharpening it yet, but I'll do a further post if it goes terribly! It just annoys me to sharpen eyeliners because you waste product! Oh well rant over. I love this product, the colour is unique and although it's a purple, it's actually quite a neutral colour when it's on the eyes and blended out with a matte chocolate brown shadow it looks perfect!

L'Oreal super liner smokissime in brown smoke

Hello,

So this is a first for me, I've never used a pigment eyeshadow in this form before and I think it's really neat. I like the application and think the shape is ideal to apply and I really like the red tones in this brown eye shadow. When I wear it I tend to apply a primer and then apply this all over my lid and blend out, I really like the result and it's quick if you don't have enough time to do a proper smokey eye then this works well enough and looks stunning!

Sliver Linings by sports girl

Hello,

Today's review is of an Australian product, I'm not sure where else in the world you can get it, I have to say I'm impressed the pigmentation is good and it's comparable to the texture and pigmentation of sleek eyeshadows. The only eyeshadow I don't like in the palette is the pink eyeshadow because I really don't particularly like using pink eyeshadow of that shade. However that's just personal preference, the eyeshadows are amazing and it's a perfect palette to give as a gift to any makeup enthusiast and if you can check out sports girl as a brand then I'd highly recommend it!

The packaging is also quite cute and looks really nice in contrast to plain old black palettes.
