Superdrug Haul

Taking advantage of the superdrug sale I picked up a new set of the real techniques core collections and the powder brush at a discounted price. Since I can always do with a new powder brush and also I love all the brushes in the core collection so that's always useful and even better when they're discounted.

Ever since Tanya burr bought out her autumn collection and beautiful lipsticks and finally managed to get my hands on cocoa pink which seemed to go out of stock so quickly but I got my hands on it and now I'm very happy. It's a beautiful colour and the formula is beautiful and super creamy!

Finally I also picked up from the Zoella beauty christmas collection a selection of three bags, which were only £4 in the sale but had been about £15 before christmas so I'm glad that I waited to pick it up.

Let me know what sales shopping you got up to in January?

Weekly picks #118

This week was a little bit quieter than previous weeks and I've managed to finish my dissertation which I'm so happy about and now I can relax and enjoy my christmas holidays now! Although it did mean that I had a few hours less sleep than I should so any products that could make me look more awake would be much appreciate!

Weekly picks #117

This week has been a little hectic, I've had barely any time to do my makeup as university work has been taking over as has general life! We've been out to the christmas markets a couple of nights this week which has been lovely but maybe a little bit too much muldwine was drunk! Oh well! But also starting to open my Advent calendar is always a highlight!

The makeup I've been loving is the,
Urban decay Gwen Stefani Blush pallette
Tanya Burr Lipstick in big kiss
Rimmel Fresher skin foundation
Laura Geller powder foundation

Tanya Burr autumn collection

This collection is beautiful I love the rose gold and gold packaging the lipsticks especially feel very heavy and expensive. The lipsticks are a gloss finish and they are really pigmented and that was really good then also I really enjoy the colours and the names, unfortunately I've been unable to get the two more wearable pinks because they seem to be consistently sold out which is not useful.

Then I like the glow collection the illuminator is probably my favourite part of the collection and I find that the illuminator stick isn't as good as the maybelline ones and the product posed out of the packaging when I first opened it so I'd skip that but the colour and pigmentation is great. And I like the copper packaging.

Hello,

Today I've been experimenting with a loose pigment from Tanya burr cosmetics which is a beautiful copper colour and then I blended the warm brown colour from the too faced matte eyeshadow palette. Then lined my eyes using the collection extreme liner.

Tanya Burr Lashes

Hello,

For a while now I've been trying out different eyelashes and I've been particularly loving these by Tanya Burr, particularly the individuals I think they're really nice for every day use and quite easy to apply! The band on the bambi eyelashes is really thin which I like and that makes them easier to apply. Definitely good price as I picked them both for half price.

12 days of Tanya Burr

Hello everyone,

So I finished opening this on the 24th and I opened it alternate days from the 2nd and when I picked it up in super drug, it was only £15 which I think is quite a good price for all the things you get. Although there are some products I'd rather she hadn't included over others.

2x glitter nail polishes, in under the sea and carnival night... I really like the nail polishes and think that they were a good addition to the calendar, they're a good consistency and it's always nice to have some sparkle at christmas.

2x eye shimmer pots, in story night and creme brûlée, I have to admit that I love the latter, it's a beautiful coppery colour and I've been using it blended all over my eyelid. But both are lovely and I'd like to see more as they're really nice.

3x lip glosses, bewitching, macaroon and candy frost. I love her lip glosses and all of these were lovely, there was a nice variety of colours and I like the fact that they're travel sized.

2x false eyelashes and eyelash glue, I like the more natural pair of false lashes and I suppose the dramatic pair are nice but I don't think I'd ever wear them as the band on the dramatic pair is too difficult to work with but I love the more natural pair.

2x nail files, for me these are rubbish, I don't mean to be rude, but I'd have rather had another eye shimmer, or lip gloss I don't think I'll be using them, but was able to give them to a friend who will hopefully find a good home for them.

Compact mirror, I really like this and think it was a nice addition to the calendar. It's got a magnified side and normal and it's always useful to have another.

Tanya Burr lipgloss Afternoon tea

Hello,

So if you know me you'll probably be a little shocked that I'm reviewing a lipgloss, because I normally hate them. But I've been converted by the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Afternoon Tea, it's amazing and stays on your lips without feeling too sticky. It's also got great opacity and comes out of the tube true to colour.

The only draw back I find with this product is that I really don't like the smell it's like strawberry sweets, but I can get over that because I love the product so much! The packaging is really cute as well and I can't wait to get more of them!
